Resin Mixing and Dispensing

One-Part Resin Dispensing

4min

Equipment

  • Resin bottle(s)
  • Printer cassette
    • M Series printers: To reduce resin spills on the printer, always dispense resin on the lab bench and carry the cassette to the printer.
    • L1 printer: Spills outside of the large cassette are less likely. Dispensing at the printer is acceptable.
  • Towels/wipes
  • Optional - Foil and/or towel on table for easy cleanup (not necessary for L1).

One-Part Resin Dispensing Video

Shown with UMA 90 – applies to all one part resins.

  1. Invert bottle 5-6 times to distribute pigment.
    • Poorly mixed pigment can affect resin flow during printing, causing potential defects.
    • Some dental resins require additional actions before printing. Be sure to consult the page for your specific dental resin before dispensing.
  2. Pour required resin amount into cassette.
  3. Wipe spout to catch drips on bottle and recap.

If you are not going to print immediately, cover the cassette with a cassette lid or foil, or leave in the printer with the door closed.
