Reinstallation Service
This document will explain the steps to reinstall your Carbon Product(s).
Contact Carbon Onboarding before you proceed with any of the steps described below.
Reinstallation Service is an Add-On service. Once you have provided the necessary information on your upcoming relocation, a quote for the services will be provided.
There are two options:
- Scheduled Reinstallation Service - schedule your re-installation based on the needs of your facility. We ask for 3 weeks lead time to accommodate travel.
- Flexible Reinstallation Service - if you can be flexible with your reinstallation date, price of the services will be lower, subject to additional terms and conditions*. If you have any questions email us directly at [email protected].
* Flexible Reinstallation Services Additional Terms and Conditions:
- Flexible Reinstallation Services are only available if Carbon Products can be prepared for reinstallation at the new Installation site with one (1) day of notice from Carbon.
- Customer must be willing to work around Carbon’s schedule. When the services are provided will be up to Carbon’s discretion and schedule. We will not always be able to provide a projected timeline for the delivery of Services.
Carbon Reinstallation Services are required if a Carbon Product is physically moved. The Carbon Product(s) will need to be re-calibrated and re-installed before they can be operated again. Once a Carbon Product is relocated and Site Prep has been confirmed at the Installation Site, a Carbon Field Service Engineer will come to your new Installation Site to guide the uncrating of Carbon Products, check for damage, install the Carbon Product(s) and perform the following Services:
- Validation of internet connectivity
- Mechanical alignment calibration
- Optical calibration
- Test build to confirm completion of calibrations
- Sensor calibration (for Smart Part Washer)
Carbon personnel will use reasonable efforts to follow all of Customer’s safety and site policies while at the Installation Site in the direction of the Customer’s contact. Additional training is available at Carbon’s standard rates for Installation Sites within the United States, as adjusted, if necessary, for international service.
Please note, Carbon Field Service Engineers do not manage the actual move or movement of any Carbon Product(s).
Carbon Reinstallation Services following the relocation of your Carbon Products are available to Carbon customers for purchase as an Add-on Service pursuant to the terms and conditions of your master subscription or purchase agreement for the Carbon Products.
- If there are any outstanding issues with your Carbon Product(s), it is the customer's responsibility to report those issues to Carbon prior to the relocation. If there is any damage to the Carbon Product(s) during relocation, the customer will be charged Carbon’s standard rates for parts, labor and travel expenses to repair the Carbon Product(s).
- Before Carbon can schedule the reinstallation, customers need to complete relocation (instructions to follow) and site prep of the new Installation Site following Carbon's site prep process. Please reference the Site Prep Page for more information. Once you have completed site preparation, please allow 3 weeks to accommodate travel.
If a Field Service Engineer (FSE) arrives for reinstallation, and site preparation is not completed, there will be an additional fee to reschedule.
