Bulk Mixing

Bulk resins provide many advantages compared to cartridges including volume pricing, higher throughput, as well as several materials that are only available in bulk, including EPU 44, EPU 45 and EPU 46. For these reasons, bulk resins are a great fit for production applications where pricing is critical and large volumes of resin are needed.
The information in the following modules will teach you how to use Carbon two-part bulk resins, including required equipment, as well as calculating, measuring and mixing components.
Generally, the bulk resin workflow includes:
- Gathering materials and equipment
- Determining the amount of resin required to print
- Calculating the resin component amounts
- Measuring the resin components
- Mixing with the mixer of choice
- Dispensing mixed resin into printer cassette
- Printing

The clearest advantage of choosing bulk resin is the cost-effectiveness it offers: Savings over 60% are available for large orders. Even the smallest bulk option of 5 liter cans can still offer significant savings compared to cartridges.

Unlike cartridges, bulk resin allows for a higher throughput, enabling a smoother and more efficient workflow. The ability to purchase and dispense larger quantities means fewer orders, less waiting for deliveries, fewer interruptions and more continuous printing.
Bulk packaging offers access to resins that are exclusively available in larger quantities. These include EPU 41, EPU 43, EPU 44, EPU 45, and EPU 46.
