Accessories

The L1 printer requires a number of accessories to support operation. These include:
- Cassette cart
- Chiller
- Oxygen supply (oxygen concentrator or oxygen tank)
The L1 cassette cart is a Carbon accessory designed to safely transport and install the large printer cassette. It uses a mechanical foot pedal to lift or lower the cassette into position.
- The cassette cart is only designed for use with Carbon cassettes and should not be used for any other purpose.
The chiller removes excess heat from the coolant that is circulated through the L1 printer. This keeps the printer cool and functioning normally.
- Must be connected to the L1 printer through the coolant connections at the foot of the printer in the rear.

- Supports up to 6 printers (60 Hz model).

An external source of oxygen is necessary to supply the dead zone during printing. Customers can use an oxygen concentrator or oxygen tank.
Oxygen concentrator
- Mechanical device that actively pulls oxygen from the ambient air.
- Must be connected to the L1 printer through the oxygen inlet at the top of the printer.
- Can supply up to 10 printers.
- 3rd party item.
Oxygen tank
- Tanks of oxygen are available in many sizes.
- Oxygen tank must be sourced locally.
- L1 nominal flow is 20 mL/min while printing.
- Can be connected to multiple L1 printers.
- With typical printer use, a 55" tall, high pressure steel tank (49 L/1.73 ft3) should last 3-6 months.
- Transportation and storage is subject to local regulations.
A number of other accessories exist to support the L1 printer:
- L1 cassette hotel
- L1 platform hotel
- Release film applicator
The cassette hotel stores up to 5 cassettes at once.
- Can be loaded onto the top of the hotel for inspection or cleaning.
- Works with the cassette cart for easy loading and unloading of cassettes from the top of the hotel.
- Built on casters for portability.
The platform hotel stores up to 8 platforms at once.
- Durable and easy to clean stainless steel construction.
- Built on casters for portability.
The release film applicator enables simple, consistent and accurate application of release film to your L1 build platform.
There are a few additional items that you will need to support L1 operation.
Taping knife
Used to inspect the surface of the platform for damage.
Large disposable container
Used as a secondary container to receive resin from resin dispenser or MMD. Resin is then emptied into cassette.
- Also used to collect resin from cassette.
- 1 liter (1 quart) or greater size.
Wide silicone spatula
Required to scoop expired resin from cassette.
- Can also be used to check for debris in cassette between prints.
L1 Release Film
Optionally used to facilitate the removal of high-adhesion parts from the platform and reduce production time.
