Overview

Cassette Cart
Cassette Cart

The cassette cart is a Carbon accessory designed to safely transport and install the cassette on the L1 printer.

  • It uses a mechanical foot pedal to lift or lower the cassette into position.
  • The cart is only designed for use with Carbon L1 Printer cassettes and should not be used for any other purpose.
  • Carbon will install and service the cart.

Use Cases

  • The cassette is heavy (20.4 kg/45.0 lbs) and needs two people to lift. The cart allows one person to install and remove the cassette from the printer.
  • The cart is necessary to protect the cassette while transporting, except when lifting it into a drawer in the cassette hotel.
  • The cart holds the cassette properly for a full inspection.
  • Optionally, the cart may hold the cassette during resin dispensing or cassette cleaning (over a workbench).

Benefits

  • The cart provides options to enhance the production process, such as periodically swapping cassettes for regular maintenance during continuous printer usage.
  • Multiple carts may be used in a production setting.

The large foot pedal raises the cart, the small pedal lowers it.

The casters allow the cart to roll easily over smooth level lab surfaces.  The rear casters lock to prevent the cart from moving if the user wishes it to remain stationary.

Cart Clearances

The required 1500 mm (59") of space in front of the L1 printer provides ample room for maneuvering the 930 mm (36.7") long cassette cart around and into position to load and remove the cassette. Here is an example of the space required to maneuver and park the cart.
