L1 Cassette Hotel
The cassette hotel is part of Carbon's L1 product line. It enables the safe and easy storage and transport of L1 cassettes.
The cassette hotel stores up to 5 cassettes in the drawers while waiting for rotation in production.
- The top surface is designed to allow the L1 Cassette Cart to place the L1 cassette securely into the upright supports.
- While on the top surface, all cassette sides can be accessed for cleaning, particularly the guide slots.
- The top surface is a convenient starting point for two people to manually place the cassette into one of the storage drawers.
- Storage in the Cassette Hotel is intended for short-term production rotation
- Long-term storage is recommended in original Carbon packaging.
- Cassettes should never contain resin while housed in the hotel.
- A cassette can be loaded onto the top of the hotel to access all sides for cleaning, particularly the guide slots.
- Works with the L1 Cassette Cart for easy loading and unloading of cassettes from the top of the hotel.
- Built on casters for portability.
Cassettes will require 2 people to lift and place in drawers!

Securely holds cassette when transferring to or from the cassette cart.
Each drawer is equipped with a cassette cradle for secure storage.
Always have 2 people lift cassettes (~45 lbs) in and out of the hotel drawers!
- Never store cassette with resin on the top surface or in the drawers.
- To avoid creating a tipping hazard, load drawers from bottom to top.
- Remove Cassette from Printer
- Place Cassette on Top Cradle
- Fully Extend Drawers
- Team Lift Cassette into Drawer
- Close Drawer
Remove Cassette from Printer
- Open printer door
- Line up cart arms with sides of cassette and push cart slowly forward.
- Push large pedal down to lift cassette off the printer deck.
- Pull cart straight back until cassette is clear of the printer.
Place Platform on Top Cradle
- Use the cassette cart to transport the cassette to the cassette hotel.
- Once the cart is in place, press the small release pedal and lower the cassette onto the cradle.
- Pull the cassette cart clear of the cassette hotel.
Fully Extend Drawer
Extend the drawer until a slight click indicates that full extension has been reached.
Remember to load cassettes from the bottom to the top of the hotel.
Team Lift Cassette into Drawer
- Using 2 people, pick up the cassette by the side handles.
- Place it onto the cradle mounts of the extended drawer.
Close Drawer
Over time, resin may collect on the top and in the drawers of the hotel, making it sticky. When this happens, the top and drawers of the hotel will need to be cleaned using IPA wipes or IPA dampened blue towels.
