perform these maintenance actions every 18 months every 18 months docid\ ajzz6r7ez54r4mrsmy9 l every 18 months docid\ ajzz6r7ez54r4mrsmy9 l as of printer software v1 40, the 18 month oxygen subsystem maintenance is longer required if you are running v1 39 or earlier, as in the case of version lock customers, the 18 month maintenance is required put on clean gloves before proceeding prepare printer for servicing power printer down open service door shut off air supply power printer down press power switch to the off position open service door locate the access lock hole on the left side of the printer insert an 8 mm allen wrench into the hole and turn an 1/4 of a turn clockwise do not turn counter clockwise the door will release open shut off air supply the printer's air supply must be shut off to depressurize the system for servicing related sub systems engage the quick disconnect fitting and pull off the air hose if you used the minimum clearance printer position, you might need to move your printer forward to reach the air hose in this case, review the position and level printer section of setup docid\ cuc 4ice6kvrrgvjrfxrj to lift the leveling feet for repositioning, replace the printer in position, and re level the feet after servicing oxygen concentrator filter the oxygen concentrator filter removes nitrogen and captures oxygen from the air for printer operation locate the oxygen concentrator filter the filter is located on the left hand printer frame, near the bottom of the printer cavity remove screws remove the two screws securing the filter with a 2 5 mm allen wrench remove filter use the 2 5 mm allen wrench as a lever to pull the filter out of its opening dispose of the old filter as standard waste prepare replacement remove and discard caps from the o ring fittings on a new filter the filter assembly is pressurized, so you will hear a little pop and hiss when you remove the caps if debris does get on the fittings, clean with an ipa damped blue shop towel take care to avoid getting dust and debris on the o rings and fittings proceed to the next step immediately proceed to the next step immediately insert new filter insert the new filter into the printer where the old one was removed you may need to press firmly to get the fittings fully engaged re insert screws screw in the new filter, 1/4 turn past finger tight particulate filters the particulate filters ensure the oxygen sub systems are clean locate the particulate filters the filters are located on the left hand printer frame, just above the oxygen concentrator filter the two filter assemblies are attached with orange velcro for easy identification disconnect orange velcro strap remove and replace filter assembly video text pull filter assembly out of retaining clip detach tubes on both ends depress ring to release tube pull out tube align filter direction locate arrow on new filter assembly align with arrow on printer panel re insert tubes into both ends start with the rear tube for easiest access ensure the pink tube is behind this clear tube press in tube firmly don't hold down ring don't hold down ring tug assembly to check fit press back into retaining clip repeat with second assembly replace orange velcro strap return printer to operation close service door power printer back on restore system power re connect air supply close service door press door shut firmly , as you would a car door, until the latch clicks; insufficient force can result in a partial latch power printer back on press power switch to the on position restore system power press restore system power on the touchscreen to power on all hardware sub systems for operation re connect air supply engage the quick disconnect fitting and push on the air hose check printer operation run an printer health checks per carbon instructions to confirm correct replacement of the oxygen concentrator and particulate filters oxygen related abort if the air print aborts, repeat steps to check all connections and ensure there are no air leaks repeat air print and contact carbon support if problem persists
