Legacy Pour Stands

M1/M2/M3 Pour Stand

This stand is compatible with M1, M2 and M3 cassettes.

Note that if you have an earlier pour stand (for M1 or M2), the M3 cassette will not fit.

M3 Max Pour Stand

The M3 Max Cassette requires an even larger pour stand than the M3 cassette, which is included in your printer's sales order.

Note that if you have an earlier pour stand (for M1, M2, or M3), the M3 Max cassette will not fit, but the M3 Max pour stand is backward compatible with older cassettes.

Conditional Brackets

If local regulations require, brackets may be attached at the back of the pour stand and to a work surface.

Loading the M3 Cassette

For greater stability when a cassette is loaded in the pour stand, the unit has taller stops that block the cassette handle.

To load the cassette:

  • Set the cassette down on a nearby work surface.
  • Pick up the cassette by the corners and lift onto the pour stand.

Tilting the M3 Max Pour Stand Platform

Due to the large size of the M3 Max cassette, the pour stand should be oriented so the side with the handle is parallel to the table edge.

Part Washer Adapter

M3 Only

The M3 Platform has a different interface than M2 platforms that requires an adapter to fit in the Smart Part Washer.

To Use:

  • Slide adapter onto the locating pins
    • Orient with point of triangular component aimed away from handle
    • Slide closed both latches to lock in place
  • Place platform in part washer
  • Select the print on your platform from the screen
    • The NFC tag on the adapter knows all of your lab's M3 prints but needs you to tell the washer which one you are washing.
    • Specifying the print is necessary to ensure the proper wash cycle for your parts.

Follow all other steps for using a Smart Part Washer.

Power Cable

  • The regionally specific power supply cable (and any applicable adapters) can be obtained separately from Carbon by contacting your Account Manager or Sales Operations via email at [email protected].
  • ⚠️ The printer must be grounded.
In the event of a malfunction or breakdown, grounding will reduce the risk of electric shock by providing a path of least resistance for electric current.
  • The power supply cable is equipped with a cord having an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
  • To connect the printer to the main supply, plug the power cable into the appropriately installed and grounded outlet in your facility. No additional protective earthing methods are necessary.
  • Check with a qualified electrician if you are in doubt whether the printer is properly grounded. Do not modify the plug provided with the power supply cable; if it will not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
