- Lid
- Lid seal
- Spin head
- Platform latch
- Platform
When closed, the lid and lid seal contain fumes and prevent solvent evaporation while keeping out dust.
The spin head spins the platform latch during washing. The platform latch securely holds the platform.

- Sense tube access
- Mesh screen filter
- Wash tank
- Bowl
- Deck
The deck is the flat top surface of the Smart Part Washer.
The bowl is the shallow opening in the deck.
- The lid fits tightly into the bowl during washing to contain solvent.
The wash tank is the deep container that holds solvent during washing.
- The mesh screen filter rests at the bottom of the wash tank. It keeps solids out of the main solvent storage tank.

The display shows the part washer’s status and soil load.
There are 4 buttons that perform different functions depending on the task:
- Selecting wash cycle before washing.
- Starting and stopping the pump during filling.
- Starting and stopping the pump during draining.
In the case of an emergency, pressing the emergency stop (E-stop) knob to the right of the display will immediately cut all power to the part washer.

Note: You cannot continue after stopping a washing cycle.

The foot of the part washer includes the foot switch and the leveling foot (located towards the rear).
- The foot switch is a hands-free method for opening or closing the lid.
- To activate the lid:
- Place your foot under the part washer for a second or two.
- The lid will open.
- The leveling foot is used to stabilize and level the printer.
- Door operation may be affected by an optional safety interlock. If the door opens while printing, power to the platform motor stops immediately, likely resulting in a failed print.
The valve panel is on the left side of the Smart Part Washer and is comprised of the following components:
- Fill valve - Used when filling the Smart Part Washer with fresh solvent.
- Compressed air filter - Filters the compressed air that powers the lid mechanism.
- Drain valve - Used when draining soiled solvent.

- The regionally specific power supply cable (and any applicable adapters) can be obtained separately from Carbon by contacting your CTP.
- The Smart Part Washer must be grounded. In the event of a malfunction or breakdown, grounding will reduce the risk of electric shock by providing a path of least resistance for electric current.
- The power supply cable is equipped with a cord having an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug.
- The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
- To connect the Smart Part Washer to the main power supply, plug the power cable into the appropriately installed and grounded outlet in your facility. No additional protective earthing methods are necessary.
