Surface Isotropy

Pattern uniformity on the surface may be desired for aesthetic reasons, so Design Engine allows you to enable surface isotropy as an advanced option, with additional processing time (approximately 5 minutes).

About Surface Isotropy

  • Isotropy looks for consistency both across a single surface and across all surfaces as a cohesive unit.
  • Variation may still be present where needed for conformity, so organic shapes and curves will see some variation to maintain the structure of the lattice.
  • Using the default for Cell Size Adaptivity (ie the main cell size) will yield the most consistent results.
