Safe operation of the AO Backpack requires that you read and understand the warnings below. Safety is a combination of common sense, staying alert, and knowing how the AO Backpack works. Be aware of the safety instructions below during operation.

Danger!

  • Arc flash and shock hazard. Follow ALL requirements in NFPA 70E for safe work practices and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Do not attempt to override safety features. Doing so makes the printer unsafe.

Hazardous voltage inside

  • Disconnect power before servicing.
  • Service by trained personnel only.

Cut hazard

  • The blade is sharp and can cause severe injury.
  • Exercise extreme caution when cleaning the blade.

Tip over hazard

  • When disconnected from the printer, the AO Backpack presents a tip over hazard.
  • Only Carbon personnel are authorized to disconnect the AO Backpack from the printer and move the disconnected AO Backpack.

Caution

  • Clean up resin spills (including drips) immediately to avoid slippery floors and prevent spreading of resin contamination.

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

Always wear the appropriate PPE when operating or maintaining the AO Backpack, Carbon printer or their related processes or accessories.
