Other Improvements

Initial model upload

We have made a change to how we process models that contain overlapping triangles. We can now better understand models with overlapping triangles, resulting in fewer potential holes upon slicing. While this change will make our software more resilient to poorly meshed models, clean meshes are always encouraged.

Please note that this change will only affect newly uploaded models with overlapping triangles, and is not a change to slicing. Existing models in .carbons will not be affected.

Project editing performance

We are working to improve the UI performance of our software when editing projects. In this release, we removed some unnecessary calculations with project edits that do not affect layout and geometry. You’ll notice that certain operations, like renaming your project, will be much faster, especially in projects with more complex models.
