Ultracur3D RG 3280
Overview
Ultracur3D® RG 3280 by Stratasys Forward AM is a highly loaded, ceramic-filled material with extremely high stiffness around 10 GPa and a Heat Deflection Temperature above 280°C.
The white, ceramic-like colored resin is very easy to handle and print, especially considering the high particle loading. This is possible by keeping the viscosity low and the settling of particles limited. With its high stiffness and temperature resistance, the material is ideal for tooling, molding, and wind tunnel testing applications.

Carbon Workflow Recommendations
To supplement the Instructions for Use (IFU) provided by the manufacturer, Carbon recommends the following when printing on a Carbon printer:
Printing
- Use the Ultracur3D RG 3280 resin dropdown when setting up the print project 50 micron slicing default
- Shake bottle for 2 min before pouring into the cassette
- Do not let resin sit out in ambient light
- Always filter the resin back into the bottle when not in use due to high reactivity
Washing
- 1 min in IPA on orbital shaker
- Touch-up as needed
- Immediately dry part(s) via towels/swabs or compressed air to reduce risk of cracking
Curing
- Post cure immediately after washing and drying parts to reduce risk of cracking
- For Dymax ECE 5000, cure 15 min/side Reference other curing options in the Instructions For Use.
Note that Flashing on the base surface is normal for this resin when printed on Carbon printers. This is due to higher UV exposure on the first slices to ensure adhesion to the platform during printing.
