**Safe operation of the AO Backpack requires that you read and understand the warnings below. Safety is a combination of common sense, staying alert, and knowing how the AO Backpack works. Be aware of the safety instructions below during operation.**

# Danger!

- **Arc flash and shock hazard. **Follow ALL requirements in [NFPA 70E](https://www.nfpa.org/codes-and-standards/all-codes-and-standards/list-of-codes-and-standards/detail?code=70E) for safe work practices and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- **Do not attempt to override safety features. **Doing so makes the printer unsafe.

**Cut hazard**

- The blade is sharp and can cause severe injury. 
- Exercise extreme caution when cleaning the blade.

**Tip over hazard**

- When disconnected from the printer, the AO Backpack presents a tip over hazard.
- Only Carbon personnel are authorized to disconnect the AO Backpack from the printer and move the disconnected AO Backpack.

# Caution

- Clean up resin spills (including drips) immediately to avoid slippery floors and prevent spreading of resin contamination.

**PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)**

Always wear the appropriate PPE when operating or maintaining the AO Backpack, Carbon printer or their related processes or accessories.
